The WI always finds new and interesting ways to keep members busy; in 2006 members were challenged to walk 90 miles and keep a scrapbook, 2010 saw the WI Tri – a triathlon; swim 5 miles, cycle 20 miles and walk or run 50 miles and 2011 saw members’ being challenged to walk, or swim, 209 miles.
Did you know that WI members were strutting their stuff to Zumba long before the rest of the nation was?
MWI continues this tradition with a popular monthly ‘constitutional’ exploring different areas locally on foot (February Bushy Park / March Garson’s Farm), whilst enjoying lots of conversation and laughs along the way.

“Do you like walking on Molesey Heath and would like to find out more about the variety of wildlife, fauna and flora on site? The Elmbridge Healthy Walks have a walk on Wednesday 17 July from 10.30am to 12.15pm that will be led by a countryside officer who will be happy to give you some info about the heath and answer any questions. Meet near the heath gates on Approach Road, nearest postcode KT8 2LL. Free walk. Hope to see you there.”
