Sport & Excersize

The WI always finds new and interesting ways to keep members busy; in 2006 members were challenged to walk 90 miles and keep a scrapbook, 2010 saw the WI Tri – a triathlon; swim 5 miles, cycle 20 miles and walk or run 50 miles and 2011 saw members’ being challenged to walk, or swim, 209 miles.

Did you know that WI members were strutting their stuff to Zumba long before the rest of the nation was?

MWI continues this tradition with a popular monthly ‘constitutional’ exploring different areas locally on foot (February Bushy Park / March Garson’s Farm),  whilst enjoying lots of conversation and laughs along the way.

If you have any suggestions for the next walk, please use the reply box below.  We would love to hear your ideas.

Testing to see if this works! Suggestion for walk – there is an organised walk (under the Elmbridge Healthy Walks Programme) around Molesey Heath on 10th May. Its free, just turn up 10.30 at Coronoation Rec car park. You may be asked to complete a H&S questionnaire if its your first time.
