We can’t recommend visiting the Poppy factory highly enough. We learnt about the history of the remembrance Poppy (a corn poppy) and the factory, then had an opportunity to make a poppy or two. The WI is synonymous with good food, and these traditions of healthy well-made food and preserves continue in a wide range of activities.
The WI offers members a wide range of opportunities to develop and practice floral art skills as members, within WIs, federations and within the WI.
Making can have a positive impact on our lives. It can create space to socialise, and allow for the learning of new skills and sharing of ideas.
